A week or so of vacation . . . heaven!!

I took some time off from work, which was mahvelous.  The first part of the week was filled with trying to get too many things done.  I'm a list maniac.  I was originally dealing with multiple lists - trying to get a totally unrealistic amount of things done.  By Wed morning, I decided to completely scrap all lists and use the time to actually enjoy my family and relax.

So this . . . 

             turned into lots of this . . .

. . . plus floating and relaxing, and kids, some shopping, and hanging with girlfriends.  Yay!!

 4th of July at the cabin - YAHOO!!

The last couple years we've spent July 4 at the cabin, and this year we were able to do the same.  We came up last Thursday (and are still here) and have had some fun visitors.  Mike from Bakersfield came up on his death trap motorcycle (which he will be selling soon), Ryan came up for the day, Catie Sue came up for a couple days, we met up with the Ferds, who were at their cabin, and the Riveras came up too.

  3 solid days of tubing, but I only got pictures of Ella and Ryan - I'm not much of a photographer.


 Tubing can be exhausting.

The dogs Monday morning.  We're all toast.

We're still at the cabin.  Mike just left for Bakersfield.  We've been lounging all day, eating Marcie's AWESOME carrot cake, watching Scott clean the boat, and enjoying the cool.  Please don't make me go back to the Valley of Death!
