Goodbye way-too-quick weekend. You went too fast.
The panther at daybreak
And late this afternoon.
It was pretty chilly, and overcast most of the day. Friday was like 80', which drove us into a mini frenzy to get things cleaned up in the yard. Scott got a ton of work done. But today was pretty chilly . . . back to normal temps for this time of year. I'm so glad there's more cold days coming - maybe rain Wed - Fri?? YES!

Unexpected visit
We had unexpected visitors this weekend. Pregnate Cousin Lisa here in town Saturday for a seminar. And my skinny sister and one of my favorite nieces. Visiting and being together was wonderful . . . Dick not feeling well, not so wonderful. :(
No pictures, except this one. These brats "folding clothes". Or not.
And this guy, in his best Burt Reynolds pose.
Get well quickly Dick. I've marked the calendar to party on your birthday. :)

80 today??
What the hell. 81 today? Bam . . . it's Spring. Which is nice, I guess. Most people, like Scott, are thrilled. He's excited Winter's over and gone. I, on the other hand, am not so happy happy. To me early Spring just means early Summer, which means Africa-hot temps. Eh.
HOWEVER, I'm going to enjoy this beautiful Saturday. Scott got a truckload of humus and started reseeding the grass yesterday. That continues as I type. So we're working in the yard today. Tom Pickles is a big help. :)
Caught him bending over. Ha ha.
And him about to pop me with the rake.
These are in the window over the kitchen sink. If heaven had a smell, it would be hyacinth!
I don't think it's going to be warm enough to hang sheets on the clothes line. Dang it! Now that's my favorite thing about warmer weather! Lots to do . . . happy Spring. :)

Ceiling part deux
Moving on to this side. This is miserable stuff. I'd rather be doing taxes.
(Lke I actually do anything . . . besides hand off tools and keep the Pepsi flowing . . . )
Still, what a mess. So the ceiling texturing will be done today. Tomorrow the house will smell like wet mud - yay. Then ceiling painting next weekend. Then ceilings are D.O.N.E.
I did, however, make pink waffles (pictures are even more blurry than those above).
Nothing says lovin' like pink waffles. :)

Looking forward . . .
Scott and I went to the cabin for the day a couple weeks ago. It's so beautiful this time of year.
It's been a very emotional week or so, with alot of commotion and unhappy get-togethers. We're ready to go back to our regular schedules and get back to 'normal', if there is such a thing.
'Bakersfield Mike' came up for a visit. He and Zack are on their way to the Phillipeans soon . . . to live, not visit. W.O.W. We'll have to brush up on our sciping skills.
Mike last summer
Alisa's been in town. I haven't seen much of her due to crazy people out of control. HA! I'll have to get a current picture of the itch-ba before she leaves.
Ella's been busy with the usual. Two more of the girlies turned 18 this past week. Again, W.O.W.
So... I'm looking forward to regrouping and focusing on some happy stuff. Taking more pictures and blogging more often. Looking forward to February and Valentines Day projects. That's my thang. :)
