Ella, Ryan and I went to the zoo. I haven't been to Roeding Park since Ella's school field trip, around 3rd or 4th grade.
Ryan remembered bread and we fed the geese/ducks . . . I think we helped Ella overcome her fear of fowl. She was a little nervous. You can't tell in the picture, but there were alot of them.
And then we were off to the cabin . . . the ultimate Fall setting for Thanksgiving. Mike was able to come along. Again, I failed to take decent pictures. :( Movies, homework (Ella and Mike), eating, cards (I learned how to play Gin!), walks, fires, and just good quality time. It was the best. :)
The boys yaking on the back porch (I took the picture thru the window).
The SoCal Edison man said there's already enough water to fill Shaver Lake with water coming from Huntington, Edison, and Florence lakes. So there will be boating next year!
The welcome wagon. If this didn't scare you off, I don't know what would.
And now we're home. A whole day to prepare to face the music Monday. Down comes Thanksgiving and up goes Happy Birthday decorations. Next weekend . . . on to SF for a girls birthday excursion with Karen and Kelsey. Fabulous!!
And for all this, I am truly thankful. :)
