Weekend at the cabin

While Ella was in AZ, Scott and I went to the cabin.  I went up Friday morning and Scott came up on Saturday.  Scott still had the death cold/flu, but like a trooper he pressed on.  At that point, I was healthy.

Beautiful Shaver Lake is drained for work on the dam.  It makes me very sad.  The pictures below are of the marina and the boat launch.

Shaver Lake dam.  Straight ahead is the first dam last used around 1920 for logging.

Sooooo, at the cabin . . . .
I finished the quilt.  All made from Mom's stash :)

The waterfall above the swimming hole.  It was pretty windy and misty . . . very cool :)

Fall colors are just starting.  This is looking up the hill from the cabin patio.

Scott and helper worked on a project in the bathroom.

I found this little beauty on the side of the road.  Crazy someone would toss such a gem.  My little trash to treasure project.  (Or trash to trash?)  Now we have a little tippy table for coffee on the front porch.

This was all Saturday morning.  By Saturday afternoon sickness started setting in (again).  Scott continued to feel crappy and had obviously passed it on to me.  We laid around, slept, watched a couple movies, coughed and sneezed alot . . . eh.

Ella's team took 1st in their Division.  Yahoo!

Ella and her friend, Montana.

They also went to a volleyball game at ASU.  I think she had a pretty good time.  :)

Monday evening . . . call me Typhoid Mary . . . I have it bad.   My loved ones don't want to be near me. They're watching the World Series and I'm going to bed. Tomorrow should be better.
