Uncle Bob's birthday party - no pictures :(

Yesterday we went to a CHS volleyball team BBQ/meeting to start the season right.

Then . . . we zipped over to Uncle Bob's surprise birthday party.  What a great time!!  But no pictures . . . I am a loser of a photographer.  I clearly am concerned only with me having a good time (vs. taking pictures to document an event).  Actually, I just forgot - shocker!

Anyway, we pulled up to the parking lot at the same time as Cousin Mike and Pamela so we all walked in together (with Ella towering over me in her 6-inch heels).  And everyone was there!

We saw:

Cousin Mike - handsome and debonair as usual . . . but we had already seen him for coffee that morning . . . nothing new with him.

Patient, perfect, prestine Pam - I do love that girl!

Uncle Bob looking very handsome and obviously surprised and touched.

Aunt Pate was all smiles with her stylish doo.  What a rockin' grandma!

Cousin John, who had spent the past few days in the foothills researching a branch of the Logan family tree.  He had the fascinating (true) story of the first man hung in Coloma (?? I think it was Coloma, circa 1870-ish), James Logan - another shocker.  Logan men were acting up way back!  I can't wait to check Ancestory.com.

Sandra - who was taking zillions of pictures . . . and smelled so good.

Aunt Nene and Catie - I didn't get to talk with either.  But both are always so gracious and sweet.  I didn't know Nene and Uncle Bob shared a birthday - that's wild.

Cousin LaLa - happy, super-busy LaLa . . . who made THE most awesome cake!

I got a great hug from Craig and had a quick catch-up conversation.  We used to spend so much time over their house (uh, one light away!), and now we see each other at family events :(  I miss Craig!!

Bob and Betsy Kimball - what an awesome couple.  Period.

I didn't get to talk with Kelly, who always has perfect hair . . . I would kill for her hair.  She looked really happy :)

But both Scott and I did get to talk with the other Cousin Mike . . . Mike B . . . who's styling in (his mid-life crisis - hilarious!) a gorgeous white Mustang GT.  That's another guy I miss not seeing . . . always so happy and so fun to talk with.

The Other Barbara Logan - my arch nemesis - who continues to pave my way down easy street.  I love making phone calls and saying this is Barbara Logan, knowing they think they have the other BL on the line and jump at the chance talk with her.  I spoke with the staff at Granville Homes just last week.  They're always disappointed to hear that I'm BL#2.  She looked AWESOME in that green top :)

Dangerous and Cara - I forgot we call him Dangerous - Ella reminded me.  Dastardly . . . demonic??  Still so hilarous and so fun to talk with.  And I got to talk with Cara for some time.  She would be the perfect younger sister.  All hip and spunky.  They're such a great couple.  We look forward to going to volleyball games with them.

Miss Holly - WHAT!! 7th GRADE??  She's soooo much like LaLa.  And she has that sparkle in her eye when she's filling you in on everything.

And the plethora of other Logan guests and kids - sooooo good to see everyone again and celebrate Uncle B-O-B's birthday.  Steve and Carol, Brad and Sherry - you were missed :)

We did tell a few people about this blog, so maybe some family will be looking this up.  OMG!!  The pressure's on!

And now . . . we're off to have Ella's WISDOM TEETH PULLED.  Wish her luck!
