Memorial Day weekend

We went to the cabin for the weekend.

Wray and Lavern were already there with their new addition...
Meet Cal.  12-week-old aussie and the cutest guy ever.  With fuzzy puppy fur, razor puppy teeth and boundless energy.  Sooo much fun!  But still a puppy, who does puppy things.  :)

Apparently this is how you show Cal who's boss.  The hands on hips, shoulders back, Wonder Woman stance.  Maybe not so effective when "Wonder Woman" is laughing!  And he responds by jumping up and nipping you in the boob.

Ella met Maddy and Ferd for pizza, then ice cream at the lake.

We hung out at the cabin.  I made what I thought was an awesome strawberry cream cheese bundt cake (Scott thought it was a little soggy in the middle so he ate off the outside like a squirrel).  I had great "Wray time".  We talked about everything and nothing.  We so don't get together often enough.  But, now she has a fancy new phone and has become a texter . . . so we can text more.  She's also a Netflix-er and gave us a Netflix lesson.

Sunday Ella and I met the Ferds in Shaver . . . where it snowed . . . and it's almost June!

You can't tell in these pictures, but the snow is coming down pretty good!  Scott joined us later and we had dinner with the Ferds at their new, swanky cabin.  Joel BBQ'd and cracked the big window to their deck (from the heat of the BBQ . . . it was still snowing and pretty dang cold).  Great dinner.  The Ferds make a mean prime rib and rack of ribs.  The night ended with me snoring on their couch.  Drool is OK on suede?  So fun Ferds - thank you!

Now we're home.  Doing laundry and getting ready for our short week.  Ella has volleyball try-outs, so she best get her mind right (Cool Hand Luke voice).

Can't wait to get back up there.  It's my happy place :)
